I’m on day 12 of this drug and here’s my experience thus far:

1) by providing some nicotine effects to ease the withdrawal symptoms
NO – Very disappointing; withdrawal was every bit as bad as I had feared, but I was very determined this time due to recent health issues; I got through the nicotine withdrawal symptoms in spite of Chantix.

2) by blocking the effects of nicotine from cigarettes if they resume smoking
YES – in the past, my “slip ups” got me right back into smoking; a few days ago, my “slip up” was harmless because I got no reward. Even though my withdrawal symptoms were awful, I knew it was useless to smoke, use nicotine gum, use a nicotine patch; I voluntarily kept myself in a “biochemical trap”.

By this logic, why would we even enact criminal laws? With a ‘wait and see’ approach, you wouldn’t need specific laws to abide by, you just let criminals go on and do their thing, and then if their behavior is later determined to be
problematic, then go back and “revisit” the idea of making new laws. TRULY IDIOTIC!

I just want to let you know that I find your website very informative. One article in particular is the “Suicide and the Elderly”. Just over 1 week ago, my uncle (in his late 70s) committed suicide. My Dad is having a hard time with why his brother would do this as they were raised in a Lutheran (his father was a minister) family and they were brought up with the belief that suicide was a great sin. My uncle had recently been affected with his wife collapsing and having a brain bleed which required emergency surgery. Her post-op has been very difficult and she is in a group home. My uncle became very depressed over the ‘loss” of his wife. My cousin had him seen by a physican and it was found that my uncle needed bypass surgery. His depression continued and he was put into a private home to be cared for. One a day last week, he found out that his son-in-law died ( due to liver failure). He was on a liver transplant list and prior to going to surgery, a heart problem was found and he was immediately taken off the list. He died a day later. Upon hearing this news, my uncle jumped out of a 2 story home where he was staying and broke his neck.

I printed this article for my parents to read and hopefully they will understand what my uncle was going thru with the devastating events in his live that last few months.

The only sugar is from the orange juice (natural). The low fat yogurt or no fat yogurt can be monitored also, or use your choice of yogurt. The rest of the ingredients are natural fruits, not simplified sugars. Enjoy !

This is absolutely the best thing I have ever had to quit smoking. I have tried the patches twice, hypnosis twice and gums. This hs really worked for me.
